This limited–edition cover-features two Gerald R. Ford $1 Coins from the first day of production at each United States Mint facility-December 1, 2015 (Philadelphia), and December 16, 2015 (Denver). The coins are mounted on a display card inside an envelope with a U.S. Red, White, and Blue (Forever) stamp. The cover also features a portrait of President Ford, and the postmark of May 17, 2016, Ann Arbor, Michigan, marks the day the Gerald R. Ford $1 Coin Cover was issued by the U.S. Mint.

These coin designs display large, dramatic artwork and edge-incused inscriptions of the year, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the mint mark. Each coin features a likeness of President Ford on the obverse (heads) with the inscriptions "GERALD R. FORD," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "38th PRESIDENT," and "1974 - 1977." Presidential $1 Coins have a common reverse (tails) design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "$1."
