The 2005 American Bison Nickel Official First Day Coin Cover is the 3rd in the series. This limited-edition cover - up to 100,000 will be produced - features two American Bison Nickels from the first day of mintage. The nickel produced at the United States Mint at Denver was first minted on January 12, 2005, and the nickel produced at the United States Mint at Philadelphia was produced on January 26, 2005.
Each cover features a handsome display card with the 37-cent United States Flag postage stamp. The postmark of February 28, 2005, Washburn, North Dakota, marks the day the American Bison Nickels were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.
