- Obverse: The 1983 features a classic Greek discus thrower, flanked by the Olympic symbol. On the 1984 is a re-creation of the headless sculpture placed at the entrance to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
- Reverse: The 1983 displays the head and upper body of an American Bald Eagle. Featured on 1984 is a full image of an alert Bald Eagle.
These beautiful proof dollar coins are made of 90% silver, and are struck at the San Francisco Mint. The set is presented in a beautiful display case, complete with Certificate of Authenticity.
