Premier Silver (1992-1998)

1992 marked the 200th anniversary of the US Mint. As part of the celebration, the US Mint released Silver Proof Sets for the 1st time since 1964. The Premier Silver Proof set was the 1st high end or deluxe presentation set ever released by the United States Mint. The Silver Premier series was issued for only 7 years. (1992 through 1998.)

The Silver Premier Proof Set contains 5 coins: Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar. The Dime, Quarter and Half Dollar in this set were struck out of .900 fine Silver. All of the proof coins in this set were struck at the San Francisco Mint.
