The 2005 California Official First Day Coin Cover is the 31st in the series. This limited-edition cover - only 75,000 will be produced - features two California quarter dollars from the first day of mintage, January 3, 2005.
Each cover includes quarters from both the United States Mint at Philadelphia and Denver on a handsome display card with the 37-cent United States Flag postage stamp. The postmark of January 31, 2005, Yosemite National Park, California, marks the day the California Quarter Dollars were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.
