The 2011 James Garfield $1 Coin Cover is the 20th issue in the series, which began in 2007. This limited-edition cover - only 22,000 will be produced - features two James Garfield $1 Coins from the first day of production at each United States Mint facility - September 8, 2011 (Philadelphia) and September 1, 2011 (Denver). The coins are mounted on a handsome display card inside an envelope with a U.S. 44-cent Flag postage stamp. Additionally, the cover features a portrait of President Garfield in front of an American flag. The postmark of November 17, 2011, Mentor, OH, marks the day the James Garfield $1 Coins were first released into circulation.
