All versions of the 1985 Kennedy Half Dollar are relatively easy to obtain in uncirculated or proof. The 1985 Mint Sets and Proof Sets are inexpensive and this provides a ready source for coins when the sets are broken up.
Differences may be noted on the obverse design for this year and other issues of the mid-1980′s. There is considerably less detail present in the hair and facial features as compared to the original design from 1964.
