The 2009 District of Columbia Official First Day Coin Cover is the first coin cover in a series featuring the 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters. This limited-edition cover - only 25,000 will be produced - features two District of Columbia quarters from the first day of mintage - December 10, 2008 (Philadelphia), and December 8, 2008 (Denver).
Each cover includes two quarters, one each from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver, on a handsome display card with one of the four U.S. 42-cent Flags 24/7 stamps. The postmark of January 26, 2009, Washington D.C., marks the day the District of Columbia quarters were first released to the public.
